Haussmann

Customized workspaces, Paris - 2017
“I imagined a botanical lobby, a kind of plant cathedral to envelop members and visitors in an architectural forest.”
The brainchild of its two founders, Albert Angel and Lawrence Knights, these operated workspaces are designed to make working fluid, inspiring and creative. More than just a place to work, it's a state of mind: openness, curiosity and creativity.

Like a green cocoon in the heart of Paris, Haussmann blends vegetation and architecture. The heart of the project is the atrium, with its canopy-like glass roof. Its walls are lined with bookcases, the shapes of which can be mistaken for those of trees dressed in green and buildings adorned with a rich biodiversity. In luminous colors, the furniture contrasts with the floor and walls to create a veritable plant refuge in the heart of Paris. The terrace, surrounded by buildings, is adorned with lush vegetation to amplify this soothing, verdant atmosphere.
