Giants of paper. These twenty-four three-meter-high masks are made of mixed media composed of papier-mâché and resin and then painted white. A light that reveals. Each mask is unstructured in three openwork layers to allow the light to pierce them and thus show the invisible and reveal the best.
I imagined the VIP lounge of this contemporary African art fair as a precious jewel protected by masks thought like totems that tell the story of the primitive, the ancestral, the tribal.
