“Messine is a harmonious combination of Haussmannian and contemporary. The spaces are adorned with fabrics and lights like a second skin, inviting you to enjoy a hushed, captivating atmosphere. From the layout to the services, everything has been designed to enhance the working experience.
The brainchild of its two founders, Albert Angel and Lawrence Knights, these operated workspaces are designed to make working fluid, inspiring and creative. More than just a place to work, it's a state of mind: openness, curiosity and creativity.
Set in a former upholsterer's building, Messine's architecture blends the historic codes of Haussmannian Paris with contemporary architecture. The lobby is the centerpiece, with geometrically shaped marble armchairs contrasting with the white of the impressive dome. The latter is adorned with beams of white light to reveal the traditional moldings and columns found in the other spaces. To recall the building's former use, tapestries composed of aerial forms evoking the infinite nuances of sky and light are displayed in the form of paintings and carpets. Stained-glass windows adorn the walls in brightly colored touches, matching the bistro's chairs.
