ONOMO PROJECT UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Africa continent – wide 2018
Africa is too often seen as a shapeless whole. It is multiple, colorful, rich in the history of the nations that compose it. The interior design of the ONOMO Hotels reflects this aesthetic diversity. It needed modularity. It is embodied in a cube that adapts and changes infinitely to meet all the functions: from the reception desk to the lobby chairs. A collection of interchangeable images dresses the outer surface of the cubes to highlight the colors, textures and patterns of each crop.
ONOMO currently manages five hotels in Africa in Dakar (Senegal), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Libreville (Gabon), Lome (Togo), Bamako (Mali), Conakry (Guiné), Durban (South Africa) and Kampala (Uganda) with the objective of developing a Pan-African brand of 20 hotels within the next 10 years.
I wanted a local color design where each hotel embodies the aesthetic codes of the country in which it is located.
