Biography

Albert Angel is a New York based architect and designer. His diverse global portfolio includes an oceanfront boutique hotel and spa on a private beach in Mauritius, restaurants and bars in New York City, a boutique concept hotel in Beijing, and a waterfront complex in the Seychelles featuring restaurant, bar and lounge.

From his nomadic childhood in Congo (DRC), Belgium, and South Africa, Angel cultivates the taste of independence, the need for new horizons, and the willingness to free oneself from established rules. His approach to design is directly inspired by the course of his life far off the beaten track – each space, each object an invitation to a metaphorical journey. The mixture of contemporary and classic influences, the play between space and spectacle, and the marriage of art and design are present in each of his creations.
